This whimsical picture, that is now in the center of my LifeLyrics logo for my website, was created about 15 years ago for a musician in Australia. Ray Cochrane of Pygmy Beat befriended me as I was trying to learn how to produce audio recordings of my music. He asked me to record new vocals for a song the band had previously released, and to create some pictures that could be incorporated into a music video for his song, “Whisper.” It was fascinating getting to know someone on the other side of the world!
Several other folks at HomeRecording.com were instrumental in teaching and encouraging me in my musical journey during that year, but none as much as Jeff Maher from the other side of the United States. I originally wrote my song, “All Of My Heart” as a peppy, playful song, and he gave feedback that he would love to hear it as a ballad. In the following weeks, he worked with me to not only master my new recording, but to add musical accompaniment and harmonies! We sent each other audio files through email and then he posted the new version of my song on homerecording.com as you can see in the screenshot below.
