… and other musings. Sharing tips on home organization, cooking, and design – Publishing my original songs – Publishing a new custom church song book called "Cherished Hymns"

Progress!

In the same week I finally had my last day of “working” for the Junction City Grange, I completed my research for publishers holding the rights to the songs I’m planning to include in my new custom song book! So next week I’ll start the process of submitting requests to the publishing companies:

Once I pay for the licensing and get the contracts, I’ll be ready to start the real work for this project. I don’t remember how many months it took me to create the sheet music for the songs I included in “Songs We Love” 15 years ago, but my goal is to complete the music notation and publish “Cherished Hymns” by the end of 2024.

I have a lot of work ahead of me, but today I’m celebrating the progress I’ve made, and my recent graduation from almost 13 years of volunteer work for the Grange!

About Me

Thinking about the line from Karen Carpenter’s song, “…don’t worry that it’s not good enough for anyone else to hear…” I have been inspired to “just sing” (and write, and share).

I produced a weekly blog for a little over a year, but now I’m committed to one article a month. I hope to give a little inspiration to those passing by, either through my blog articles or within the other pages I’ve created here.
