I’ve been traveling so much lately, I haven’t had time to complete my video of our trip to Washington DC last October. I intended to tell the story of how we ended up planning that trip last year, and then attach part of the video to my January blog post. However, I finally realized I have two stories to tell instead of making the video. I keep drawing comparisons between our road trip to Seattle, Washington in 2020 and the unintended timing of going across the country to our nation’s capital during the government shutdown. I’m very thankful to have fond memories of both experiences, and to realize both trips were positive because we made the very best out of bad situations.
