Trips During COVID & Government Shutdown 2025
I’ve been traveling so much lately, I haven’t had time to complete my video of our trip to Washington DC last October. I intended to tell the story of how we ended up planning that trip last year, and then attach part of the video to my January blog post. However, I finally realized I… Continue reading

Washington DC Trip-October 2025
Remember when I told you I took a detour to San Antonio, Texas on the way home from Tennessee after Mother’s Day? Well, my story about our Washington DC trip started while I was on my first solo travel excursion last May. After a very full day on the Premium City Tour with Alamo &… Continue reading

Road Trip-Summer of 2020
Our youngest of 5 kids was the only one still living under our roof. Levi was also the only one of our children still in High School, and the only one of our kids to attend public school – starting in Middle School. The side story is that his four older siblings are 8+ years… Continue reading

My $550 Mistake
Well, to put it lightly, I took “learning the hard way” to a whole new level. You may have seen my article, “Celebrating Milestones,” at the beginning of the year. Sheet Music Phase: 75%!
Website Wednesday came and went this week while I was busy working on formatting and entering sheet music for the new song book. Thursday, I started writing my article for this week, but then I realized I just passed another milestone in my “Cherished Hymns” project. I decided to table my article for now so… Continue reading

My Dad and His Son
Even though I didn’t know him very well, I grew up living with, and getting to know my Dad – his mannerisms, the kind of music he liked, the way he laughed, the little curl on one side of his mouth when he talked. I don’t remember how old I was when I “knew” or… Continue reading
About Me
Thinking about the line from Karen Carpenter’s song, “…don’t worry that it’s not good enough for anyone else to hear…” I have been inspired to “just sing” (and write, and share).
I produced a weekly blog for a little over a year, but now I’m committed to one article a month. I hope to give a little inspiration to those passing by, either through my blog articles or within the other pages I’ve created here.
