My $550 Mistake
Well, to put it lightly, I took “learning the hard way” to a whole new level. You may have seen my article, “Celebrating Milestones,” at the beginning of the year. Ray and I went to Cancun, Mexico for a few days of warmth and relaxation in January. When I shared the video I made about Continue reading

My Typewriter
By 1995, the last major manual typewriter manufacturer, Smith-Corona, shut down. About 16 years later, manual typewriter production ceased in the world when Godrej and Boyce closed their plant in Mumbai, India. These events came and went in my lifetime with no notice or sorrow attached to them. When I was in High School in Continue reading

Grateful & Changes
Saturday, November 30, 2024 Over the past two months, I’ve had opportunities to help some of my kids with big life events. I’m thankful for the freedom I have had to pivot my daily activities at a moment’s notice so I could be available for my loved ones. I know that it is a huge Continue reading

My Project
Wow… Where has the week gone? I just realized it is Sunday evening, and I completely missed my Website Wednesday! Well, I can tell you it was for good reason, since we embarked on our annual “Family Retreat” for the 4th year in a row on Wednesday (…but that is another story). The big news Continue reading

Houses and HOMES
Last week, I wrote about several mansions/historic homes that we visited on our 36th anniversary trip. One of the docents made a comment about how hard it was to piece together history about the people who had built, and subsequently dwelt, in the home during the 100 years or so before it became a museum. Continue reading
About Me
Thinking about the line from Karen Carpenter’s song, “…don’t worry that it’s not good enough for anyone else to hear…” I have been inspired to “just sing” (and write, and share).
I produced a weekly blog for a little over a year, but now I’m committed to one article a month. I hope to give a little inspiration to those passing by, either through my blog articles or within the other pages I’ve created here.
