52 WEEKS!
This week, I am celebrating my decision to create a website and weekly blog. It has been a really great reason to keep me engaged in writing and creating all year. I have settled in to retirement life, and I’m so grateful to have plenty of rewarding work to do each day of the week Continue reading

Why?
This week’s Website Wednesday started with an email from WordPress showing that my very small readership got even smaller last month. Even though I said I didn’t start this work for anything more than my own “dream job” where I could contribute what I felt from my heart week to week, I have to admit Continue reading

A View Of The Beginning
My favorite place to sit in my home is in front of the fireplace on my leather recliner. I can enjoy the warmth of the flames and watch the birds through the large windows that face the natural conservation area behind our property. This morning, I was really enjoying the view of the Coburg hills Continue reading

Journeys
After being gone 3 more nights than I originally planned, I’m finally home and happy for the things I experienced and learned on my journey. Some things were really hard to go through, but in every bad situation I have a positive takeaway and thanksgiving in my heart. I think it is the beginning of Continue reading

Christmas Memories
Every year during the month of December, we listen to the audiobook, “A Christmas Carol,” performed by Jim Dale. It is always delightful and thought provoking. The Unknown
Last Sunday, our oldest daughter completed the 2023 New York City Marathon. We helped by watching their 2 boys for part of the time she was on her trip, and on Sunday, we tried to be a part of her monumental event from our home in Oregon while she was racing on the other side Continue reading

NORMAL
Well, after over 4 months of “retirement,” I can tell you I am no less busy, and my volunteer efforts have ramped up to a place I’m really trying to evaluate. It is the end of the week (instead of Wednesday), and I’m just going to post a simple update instead of a fully planned Continue reading
About Me
Thinking about the line from Karen Carpenter’s song, “…don’t worry that it’s not good enough for anyone else to hear…” I have been inspired to “just sing” (and write, and share).
I produced a weekly blog for a little over a year, but now I’m committed to one article a month. I hope to give a little inspiration to those passing by, either through my blog articles or within the other pages I’ve created here.
