My $550 Mistake
Well, to put it lightly, I took “learning the hard way” to a whole new level. You may have seen my article, “Celebrating Milestones,” at the beginning of the year. Ray and I went to Cancun, Mexico for a few days of warmth and relaxation in January. When I shared the video I made about Continue reading

Grateful & Changes
Saturday, November 30, 2024 Over the past two months, I’ve had opportunities to help some of my kids with big life events. I’m thankful for the freedom I have had to pivot my daily activities at a moment’s notice so I could be available for my loved ones. I know that it is a huge Continue reading

Home Stretch
With only 14 songs left to complete before the next phase of my “Cherished Hymns” song book, I am excited – and a bit in awe – that another big change in my life is looming on the horizon. I should be finished in the next couple of days, and then I’ll have a few Continue reading

Sheet Music Phase: 75%!
Website Wednesday came and went this week while I was busy working on formatting and entering sheet music for the new song book. Invitation To Tea
I’m rereading one of my favorite novels with a new interest after having spent an evening with Krishanu from India (that’s another story I wrote about in my blog post entitled “A New Friend.”) “Invitation to Tea” was written by Monica Lang and published first by The World Publishing Company in 1952, and then as Continue reading

My Dad and His Son
Even though I didn’t know him very well, I grew up living with, and getting to know my Dad – his mannerisms, the kind of music he liked, the way he laughed, the little curl on one side of his mouth when he talked. I don’t remember how old I was when I “knew” or Continue reading

Recipes
A few weeks ago, I said I would post a couple of favorite recipes I enjoyed when I was a girl. I really thought I had hand-written cards from my family for both of them in my binders (see “Better Than A Recipe Box?“), but alas I could find neither. I only found one card Continue reading

Cycling Fitness & Lifestyle
We were just young adults having a good time when Ray, Karl, and I used to go out late at night and ride around playing “cops and robbers” on our bicycles. In those days, I had no idea that I would become Ray’s wife a few years later, or the role that bicycles would play Continue reading
About Me
Thinking about the line from Karen Carpenter’s song, “…don’t worry that it’s not good enough for anyone else to hear…” I have been inspired to “just sing” (and write, and share).
I produced a weekly blog for a little over a year, but now I’m committed to one article a month. I hope to give a little inspiration to those passing by, either through my blog articles or within the other pages I’ve created here.
